Suzanne Box

Suzanne Box is a native Texan, mother to five Lamar CISD children, and a 35 year resident of Fort Bend County. Upon graduating from Texas A&M University’s Mays College of Business, she accepted a software development position with Halliburton where she gained valuable business and infrastructure experience in the oil and gas industry. 

In 2001 Suzanne married her college sweetheart, Kurt, and they soon began building a family.  After the birth of their second child, she decided to leave the business world and become a full- time mother.  Since then, Suzanne has been very involved in the lives of her family and community.  She has served with the Fulshear Athletic Booster Club in various capacities over the last four years and is currently the President. Suzanne has been very active in her children’s academics as well as their extracurricular activities such as football, wrestling, track, soccer, cross-country and Young Men’s Service League, alongside her sons. In 2014, Suzanne and Kurt cofounded a non-profit that focuses on releasing children and families from poverty through education.

Suzanne believes in the importance of a solid academic foundation, parents being the primary decision-makers in their children’s education, support for teachers and good stewardship of taxpayer dollars.  As an LCISD Board Member, Suzanne will work hard to ensure all these imperatives are a priority and will seek to put policy in place that will allow LCISD to be the gold standard for school districts in the state of Texas for years to come.
